We also experienced good room servicing levels during our stay. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable king-sized bed, plenty of wardrobe storage space with an integral fitted safe, and then a very spacious bathroom containing a bath and integral shower. We originally requested a quiet room, so cannot complain too much that we were allocated a standard room on the second floor that faced one of the internal quadrangles as, although it didn’t have any kind of view, it certainly met the brief as a quiet room. But if the restaurant and bar service was anything similar to the friendliness and help of the reception staff and cleaning team that we encountered during our stay, then I am sure there will not be a problem with it. We cannot pass judgement on the food or bar as we were on a room only rate and there are plenty of wonderful eating and drinking opportunities a short stroll away. The public areas are smart and modern but retaining nice touches from the original 18th century palace interior.

A modern hotel but in the skin of an old building that gives it a lot of character. We spent five nights here last week and it was a perfect base from which to explore Madrid.
